Christmas Vacation

Our Christmas vacation this year was wonderfully quiet and involved no traveling across the great state of Wisconsin.  And, although I dearly love my home state (and in a weird way missed the trip) it was fabulous not to take my toddler for a 5 hour ride in the car.  Amelia had a very busy 2 weeks and it was SO fun to just be with her, without having a hundred million other things I needed to do (once Christmas was over).  Here are some of the highlights:

Amelia started talking!  She's been saying "hi" for quite a while, but started saying doggie (thanks to the wonderful doggie toy B&E gave!), daddy and mama in earnest.

Amelia got better about napping (the transition from 2 naps to 1 seems to be complete).

And, Mom got some good naps in too.

Amelia learned to ham it up for the camera

And, she learned how to get up on the furniture by both asking for help and by herself (because sometimes we take forEVER).

We were very blessed to spend time with much of our family and many good friends.

Here's wishing you a 2009 full of joy, love and adventure!
