Amelia has apparently rejected the clown costume we had planned for her and decided to be a mummy.

Several of you have asked how our adoption stuff is going. Here's the low down...we went to our mandatory, 2-day Pre-Adoptive Class, which was exciting, overwhelming, inspiring and scary. We learned about Attachment (and attachment disorders) and the importance of using positive adoption language. We realized that we will be an inter-racial family and all the responsibility that comes with that. We walked away with a TON of homework including a 6-10-page paper each of us has to write, letters from our insurance companies, and cultural worksheets to fill out. Not to mention, lots of literature. We've set a goal of completing this by 11/16...Children's Home recommended that we plow through the parts of the process where we have control of the timeline. There will be plenty of time where we're just waiting and have no control over anything.
The enormity of it all is definitely setting in.
